Whiskers has an abdominal tumor and it is cancer. It seems that the tumor is growing on his intestines and it's about the size of a golf ball and it will just continue to grow and that explains his rapid weight loss. We were told that he will just continue to waste away and surgery won't be a good thing for him because of the condition of his body plus surgery is not always guaranteed to work. This will cost money that we don't have and usually an animal with cancer surgery doesn't always help and he is just not capable for it. We were told that he may not live longer than a month.
This was just so hard to hear because I have had him for so long 13 years and for us to be told he will be gone in a month I just can't believe this is true. He means completely everything to me and I feel like he is my only joy. The thought of losing him will just be so hard to take. My mom kept ranting she never wants an animal again and why did the tumor have to pick him I just want to burst out crying! He has been so good to us and he loves us and he doesn't deserve this. That damn tumor is just stealing all the nutrition from his body and he is hungry all the time he just won't stop eating it's so hard to watch. But the good thing is he is not in any pain now but my fear is that when the tumor will grow bigger it will and we both may have to make the decision to end his suffering. But I hope he won't be gone to soon I still want him hear but as you all may know if you have animals when it's an animal's time they will let you know. All we can do is just love him and just still be happy with him. Now I will let him eat all the chicken, turkey breast ham, and hot dogs he wants it's his favorite
Well I hope you guys have a fun Halloween and please just don't take any moment with your pet for granted, losing them can be hard.
Wish everyone a happy Halloween!

Enjoy him, talk to him, let him know you love him. He will live with you always, forever, in your heart.
Let's just hope he stays around as long as he can without suffering.
