On Monday evening a 10th grade girl was hit by a car after school while walking to a grocery store. She was sent to the hospital were she laid in a coma with a brain injury. Sadly on Wednesday afternoon she passed away. She was just 15 years old and the accident was not her fault it was the driver’s fault. As she crossed the street she looked both ways and did everything right. The driver was looking in a different direction and not paying attention and not looking straight ahead. That’s when he hit her completely running her over. I did not see this happen and I did not know the girl myself but it is extremely sad. The whole school is in mourning and friends and teachers wore the color yellow to represent her bright personality. The scene of the accident was decorated with flowers and a cross was placed. Also the front of the school was decorated with red and pink roses. It is very sad the poor girl I feel sorry for her family. As I had watched the news, police are investigating the driver he is charged with vehicular homicide resulting in death. Thing is that he said that he didn’t think he was driving any more then 10mph. That’s stupid, at 10mph you can’t do that much damage to a person and they end up dieing! The tires ran over her and it must have been at a fast speed if he ended up killing her! The hallways feel different at school now they are filled with sadness from this loss. How sad she was so young and had her whole life ahead of her how sad:(

Even though you did not know her, I am sure you will do the right thing.
Your compassion about this entire incident is touching and I too, feel very sad that her life was cut short at such an early age.
I am sure her family could use support en masse.

It is my hope that she rests in peace and she is not forgotten.

Yes I do to and she was very involved in school too. She seemed to be very smart.
