The deviantART #HolidayCardProject is back for its 8th year! With the goal of bringing a bit of holiday cheer to patients in the hospital during the holiday season, the Holiday Card Project connects artists from around the world, applying their tremendous artistic abilities to designing and creating uplifting holiday cards. In 2013 alone, the Project received more than 5,000 cards sent in by more than 2,000 deviants from 60 different countries/political regions. Time For A New Account!

I have been thinking of creating a brand new account and I have a few very good reasons why. First I feel the new stuff I am adding does not match with the old stuff I have now. I think the old stuff is taking away my new work I have been putting up. I feel I am improving more as an artist and I also don't like my account name either. I created my account when I was a rebellious teenager and I had a lot of teenage angst and my username and some of my deviations strongly reflect that. In this time of sorrow, I take comfort in knowing he is in a happier, beautiful place where he is free from any pain, fear, illness, and disease. My heart aches every day he is gone. The love and life he left behind will always be remembered and honored. I never could have asked for a better companion and I feel so greatful to have had him in my life. The greatest lesson I learned from him was to value the gift of life and to cherish every moment you have with someone you love, never take it forgranted. Death can only make love stronger and one day I will reunite with him and I will have the happieness I felt with him once again. I will love

I regret the news I am about to give...

On the morning of Friday, November 19th Whiskers passed away. My mom came upstairs at 4:15am to wake me up and she told me that he was sick, immediately I knew he was going to leave us. I went down stairs and I saw him laying down by the front door and he could not get up and his back legs were kicking and I knew it was a seizure. I knew we had to put him to sleep I knew he would not be able to fight this any longer. I saw his eyes and his pupils were dilated and he kept meowing and I'm sure he was scared and hurting.
